One Busy Bunny!

Wow! We are sorry about not keeping up with our blog every week, but I've just been so busy hopping from event to event and meeting so many wonderful people along the bunny trail, that I haven't had time to just sit down and tell y'all!

We had an incredible experience finding ourselves "nominated" for an Honor from the Los Angeles Business Journal, as "Women In Business Who Make A Difference" , I want to thank Shirley Vinock my friend and amazing Hypnotherapist for mentioning the process to everyone. Huge thank you to Lindey Lambert of www.lindeylambert.com who is very talented writer and social media expert. She helped me write my bio! Thank you for everything Lindey, she is the person who sent in my nomination! I have to admit I was
completely overwhelmed when I entered the room full of fabulous women in business! I had a moment to pose with Desiree Doubrox of www.anempoweredwoman.com, someone I admire and several other ladies that encourage me all the time!

My Bunny and Me, we got to go to the Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel, one of the most gracious and luxury hotels in downtown Los Angeles. You see, we are Valley People, and going to Downtown Los Angeles is not what we do on purpose! I was so happy when I heard that my good friend Kay Wallace of www.toolstoconnect.com was also nominated and we car pooled. Well, it was quite the trip! Two Wild and Crazy Ladies in a Hot Yellow Corvette! There we were, on our way to a room filled with Powerful Women, all who make a huge difference.

By the way,the story of us getting lost let it be known, "I knew exactly where I was at all times .. I was on the wrong street! " And the fact that Valet gave us VIP treatment and parked our car right up front so we didn't have to wait in line ... nice!

I was so worried MY Bunny And Me might actually win, because I realized I would have to get up on a large stage and talk to everyone! There were over 600 people in the room! The thought of getting up on that stage to talk, made the bunny I was holding look like it had a vibrator built into it .. and I could feel my knees start to knock when they started to get to my categories "Philanthropist" and under "Volunteer" We sat at a table with CEO's of HUGE Corporations and Executives from Dream Works Entertainment! I felt like a little bunny in the corner, praying .. don't call my name. I would faint, or worse .. wet myself! When the lovely person who did win was called, let me just tell you that My Bunny and ME felt a wave of relief! So this is where you I SAY "Oh it was an honor to be nominated and WHEW!"

For those of you who actually know me, you would probably be shocked! Because I've have no problem talking in front of groups of people! I have no fear to speak from my heart when I speak to my "networking groups" but 600 people, on a stage, with a big screen of me? wow ..my heart did an aerobic workout! However, Some day, I'll get over that! :)

Then of course we did all our networking events and attended a fabulous fundraiser for the American Foundation of Prevention of Suicide. We donated a bunny and attended their Casino Night and we had a blast!
Of course one of our bunnies was there on the silent auction table, and who fell in love with it? Yep, Mariette Hartley! The lady who founded this foundation! And the very same Mariette Hartley I grew up watching on Rockford Files and all those fabulous and hysterical Polaroid Commercials. She bid and won the bunny and ordered it for her grandson Milo. She is as delightful in person as she was on television. When I went to deliver her the Bunny, I decided to give her a Jr. Blanket with satin back and Lovie to match. She Flipped over it all and we are now officially on board to help the American Suicide Prevention Foundation with bunny sales!

We are so excited about the fact that we are affiliating ourselves with several other charities and will announce them as they are released! This is truly turning out to the THE BUNNY THAT JUST KEEPS ON GIVING!

Until we meet again ... On the Bunny Trail!!!

Keeps On Going!

Has Everyone seen our new website? www.mybunnyandme.com We think it's so awesome! I have to thank Phyllis Chotin of Chotin Communications! Not only has she finished the website that works efficiently ... but it screams hi tech! And with her help, My Bunny and Me is about to have a brand new brochure that is at print from my friends at Fed Ex/Kinko's out in Thousand Oaks, Thank you Rob!

So much has been going on since our last posting. The trail we are on just keeps getting more exciting and I'm not sure where to start. Most everyone I meet on the journey My Bunny And Me are on, keeps bringing only the finest people into our world.

Many people ask me why I do what I do, what is my passion? My answer is: It's watching people come together, it's watching people come together and make a difference. Knowing that we are apart of something bigger like The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that does so much to create patient services, and help with financial support and RESEARCH to find a cure for blood disease. How could that not feel fabulous to to be apart of?

So many people to say Thank You too, we had a wonderful lunch with Candi Dygert who purchased a sweet bunny named Salvo and Candi is a friend I met at a networking event. She is a lovely lady who also sells Cabi Clothes,a fabulous line of clothes that I happen to be cazy about. So I ordered a fabulous blouse from her. I love trading money with people who help to support us! Candy's website is www.fashionlady.Cabionline.com.. Thanks Candi!

This past week was extra special because being apart of the Executive Committee for the Light The Night Walk of 2010 is forcing me to really step up and it's exciting and challenging but most of all rewarding. We had our Kickoff breakfast at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills who continue to be our supporters, thank you for that! I wanted to personal thank Kathy Rappaport who came to represent the Warner Center Business Professionals a networking group that really makes a difference! (not to mention it was at 7:30 AM! thanks Kathy) Kathy is a fabulous photographer and her site is flashfrozenphotography.com. And to Phyllis Chotin of Chotin Communications Chotincommunications.com and Stacey Dawes of Funkie Junk, Funkiejunk.com both ladies represented "Our Common Thread" with grace and style and it was just as early! and My friends Sandy Reid, and Beth Blair, two wonderful women who help other women become and remain financially stable took the time, to represent another Network called VIVA! This is support! And we feel the love!

The Big Corporations don't really know the power of people who own their own business! Watch what these teams will do ... !

However, we are delighted to also have a Corporate sponsor with Walgreens! Yep! This wonderful man named Jerry sat at my table at a Chamber of Commerce Meeting. He and his assistant came to our breakfast and Walgreen's has agreed to have 7 stores participate and sell paper balloons, along with creating a team! How exciting is that? Another reason why going to networking and Chamber events is what My Bunny And I Do! You never know who you will meet. Which brings me back to the mantra I say every night .. "I only attract the finest people into my life!"

And here we are with with Councilman Dennis Zine who supports our Light the Night Walk and starts it off on his Harley!

If you want to join our Team My Bunny and Me and make a difference, become a Champion for a Cure and raise a minimum of $100 and you will experience what feeling good about yourself is all about! Here is the link: http://pages.lightthenight.org/los/WarnerPk10/MyBunnyandMe

The walk is November 6th, don't worry we will keep reminding you!

Maybe we will get the reputation of the Bunny That Keeps Nagging ...instead of Giving!

Naw, I have a t-shirt that says .. I'm Not A Nag, I'm a Motivational Speaker .. so just join it and make me stop asking! So Are You Motivated ? Sure you are .. sign up and Walk With Us!

Thank you all .. until we meet again .. on the Bunny Trail .. Continued Gratefulness to you all!

HIP HOP IS MORE THAN A DANCE

My Bunny and Me, we hip hop all day! We even dance hip hop on Tuesday nights at Chris Rudy's Oasis Personal Gym. If you want to join us some Tues night contact www.oasispersonaltraining.com for details.

But most of the time we are hip hopping to Networking Events! It's amazing but somehow we manage to have more fun than anyone who attends. Along the Bunny Trail, this last week we met the most amazing people.

I'm pleased to say that I can now call Miguel Gonzalez my friend! He is the owner of Philantropy Realtors. This lovely man donates a portion of his commission directly from escrow into the charity of the buyer or seller's choice! WOW! philanthropyrealtors.com has just agreed to create his own TEAM for The Light The Night Walk in November! Welcome aboard the the fundraising fun Miguel, and thank you so much! He is organizing a Motorcycle Ride to raise money, so if any of you out there want to join in that fun, let me know I'll hook you up! vrrroooom$$$vrrrrooom!

A giant Bunny Thank You to Loren West, she bought a bunny for a co-worker's child who was just diagnosed with Leukemia! God bless this little boy, Isaiah is 8 years old. I'm sure the bunny will bring him comfort while he's in his treatment. Because it's "wash and dry" it will be perfect for him while he goes thru his treatments and give him comfort! What a special and thoughtful person you are Loren, her business specializes in making hand made fabulous cards, check her website out! What a talent! www.lorenwestdesign.com

We ended up at Fun finished Friday at Red Ginger in Woodland Hills! Oh wow, the bunny had the best time of all! As you can see:

Met up with some of our networking pals. Where the gals got poor bunny hooked on Sake! I wasn't sure she was going to be up to Saturday where we attended the Mother Daughter Tea at Chatsworth Hills Academy for their Mother-Daughter- Tea fundraiser! We were there last year and were a huge hit, this year the little girls were so happy to see us! Only thing is, these little girls grew in just a year! wow! My Bunny and I hardly recognized them! Several of the girls are on my happy customer page and now I'm going to add their NEW photo's to it with their NEW bunnies. They are determined to collect one of ever color! After all, these bunnies are collector items according to one of the little girls. I said to her "YES THEY ARE! You should have one in each color" and she said "YES!" I love this little girl! They do teach those kids to think at that school!
This is Grace, and she now is starting her collection! I love Grace! :)

Until we meet again on the Bunny Trail .. stay hoppy!

What an Exciting LIFE!

My Bunny and Me live the most exciting life. We continue to meet the best people on the Bunny Trail. It amazes me how many wonderful, giving, loving people come across our path!

We belong to many networking organizations, and no matter where we go, its a hopping good time. We are extremely proud to be apart of OUR COMMON THREAD a women based business networking group along with the most dynamic group of women who all own their own business's. Like minded women! How fabulous! http://www.ourcommonthread.com/

Last Friday Gina Lapiner one of our member's who is a incredible Investment Counselor with Edward Jones invited us to her house and wow she's not only brilliant but what a phenomenal cook she is! She hosted a fun filled event including Lori Rosenberg who showed us how to put the most fabulous outfits together with her Cabi clothing line. http://lorirosenberg.cabionline.com/ really knows her stuff! (stay tuned for photo's of me in all the clothes I bought .. hey a girls gotta look good when she's out networking and hopping around! Along with her was Stacey Dawes who is the designer and owner of Funkie Junk, http://www.funkiejunk.com/ she has the most amazing leather accessories I've ever seen. Bunny and Me of course just had to have a lap top bag in the most plush leather and turquoise stone! Oh .. stunning and yummy to touch! Bunny loved it! And what Bunny Wants, Bunny Gets! (oh wait, maybe that's ME)
and Dana Ouvier of Silpada Jewelry topped it off with all the accessories you could ever want!
What a great night! My LIGHT THE NIGHT BUNNY was the hit of the night and everyone hugged on her! While I was busy trying on clothes and spending money! And supporting my fellow networking friends. We LOVE to do business with people we know and who support US!

Most exciting news is that Our Common Thread has also voted to be a TEAM in the LIGHT THE NIGHT 2010 Walk and Stacey Dawes has offered to be the Team Captain. Wow, we are going to shake it up this year!

MY BUNNY AND ME also had the pleasure of attending the Warner Center Business Professionals lunch, we love this group too. This week they invited Anne Hillbert known as the Network Navigator, she can be reached at www.MyNetworkNavigator.com Anne teaches you what to do with all the business cards you get at networking events and how to really help you build your business.

Then I was most delighted because Laura Runsten, the Campaign Manager of LIGHT THE NIGHT 2010, explained to everyone exactly what The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society really does! This group has also voted to be a TEAM and walk to help raise money for LLS. I'm so excited because this is another powerful group of business owners who make a difference in the world. CJ Larkin of Cruises Inc, who will do "Anything to Float Your Boat" has volunteered to be the Team Captain. You see? We just keep finding wonderful generous people in our lives! LIFE IS HOPPING GOOD!

Of course TEAM MY BUNNY AND ME are still looking for others to join our team!
As a member of the Executive Committee to put the Light The Night 2010 Walk of Lights being held November 6th, 2010 on a Saturday evening! Its our mission to find as many teams as possible to walk the walk! So if you or anyone you know wants to participate in anyway please have them contact us! You can sign up right now to walk on our team by clicking this link! Some bunny will love you if you do!

Until we meet again on the BUNNY TRAIL .. My Bunny and Me (Linda) send you tight Bunny Hugs!

Sunday, April 18, 2010

My Bunny and Me have had the most amazing week. Bunnies are hopping off the shelves and little children and several adults that have received them, all have happy little faces!

On our bunny trail, we met fabulous people and saw old friends, and where ever My Bunny goes, huge smiles and joy appear. Watching everyones face when they hug the bunny is what give "ME" the awe feeling all the time.

Most exciting accomplishment was learning how to actually do this "blog thing" and what buttons do what! Learning how to be hi tech pushes me out of my comfort zone, but then once I get it, I feel so smart! It's great! You should all try it! Get out of your comfort zone and grow! Whoohoo!

I want to thank a wonderful lady, whom I met on "The Bunny Trail" Her name is Lindey Lampert, she is a fabulous person, and a great writer. If you need help with "copy" or need to write a "bio" she's the one! Thank you Lindey. After reading my bio she wrote, I said, "oh no no no, tooooo much me me me" She said .. "Its a BIO!" So if you need someone to make you sound like you should sprout wings any minute, she's the one to call! hahaha So when you read my bio on my soon to be released NEW and Improved Website, don't laugh because I'm going to ad a photo of some angel on there. But you all know ... the truth! hahahah

Speaking of my soon to be released new and improved MyBunnyandme Web Site! Phyllis Chotin of chotincommunications.com You continue to exceed my expectations!

My EAR-Resisitible Bunny and Me .. had the pleasure of attending a Women's Information Network "Be The Change" conference and once again had the please of spending time
with fabulous women in business who are all making a difference! I got to see my favorite speaker of all time, Mr. Les Brown! And Lisa Nichols wow what a day My Bunny and Me had! However, so regretful that I forgot my camera! I know, I can't believe it either. But the education and empowerment came thru my heart so I know I will never forget it!

Looking forward to another hip hopping happy heartfelt week ahead!
Meantime, it's Sunday and My Bunny and Me are resting!

Until we meet again on the bunny trail .. Be well, Be Happy and Be Empowered and most of all Be Grateful ... WE ARE!

Welcome from My Bunny and Me

Welcome to My Bunny and Me’s First Blog ever! I’m Linda Mallut, the owner of My Bunny and Me, featuring the EAR-Resistible Bunny and all of the matching accessories for everyone from babies to toddlers and little children, teens and adults all the way to seniors! Yep, that’s everyone!

This is my ‘Bunny’ ...

Bunny says being EAR-Resistible is easy. Her job is to ride around with Linda (aka ‘Me’ of My Bunny and Me) and get hugged at all the events and meetings. Once people hug her, and feel how soft and squishy and huggable she is, they fall in love. Then they learn she’s super special because she’s made in America, goes in the washer and dryer and cleans up like new and serves the community by raising funds for worthwhile charities! At that point everyone wants a Bunny! It’s a good thing she multiplies easily!

You see, she’s the Bunny that just keeps on giving! The ‘Light the Night’ logo on her ear means she work to raise the funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Twenty percent of every dollar she makes goes to the LLS to continue patient services and research! The LLS is near and dear to our hearts. Thank you LLS for discovering the test study, SGN35, that saved our dear friend Becky's life! We nick-named it Some Good News 35!

This is why my Bunny and Me do so much networking. Together, we go to more events than anyone we know! And we make a point to have tons of fun while meeting the most fascinating people! Sometimes, they offer services or a product we can use right away. Other times we just love someone and keep their number for the future. You never know when someone else we meet along the way is going to ask us for a referral. If they do, then presto, hippity hop, we connect them on the spot!

We love it when connections multiply! Because Bunny and Me meet so many wonderful people we thought it would be fun to feature them here! We can’t help but spread the word about anyone special we network with or who purchases a bunny and supports us along the Bunny Trail!

Our first shout out goes to Kathy Rappaport, of Flash Frozen Photography! She is an amazing photographer and has a promotion this month for anyone who books a child’s photo session with her, if you do, you’ll receive a FREE yes FREE EAR-Resistible Bunny!

Be sure to check her site out! and give her a call for your Mother’s Day special! www.flashfrozenphotography.com

Thanks for joining us! We are so grateful to be on this exciting journey! Stay tuned and watch for more photo’s of Bunny and Me and the folks we meet as we hop along the Bunny Trail!
